Black Girls Cheer Selects Inside Publications to Produce Custom Cheer Magazine

ATLANTA, Ga. – June 26, 2018. Black Girls Cheer is proud to announce it has selected Inside Publications to produce its new custom magazine, Black Girls Cheer. This groundbreaking publication will be a reflection and extension of the inspirational brand that Black Girls Cheer has established through social media channels, centering its features around the landscape of school, university and all-star cheer for African American participants. The magazine is another tool in giving voice and visibility to young minority women in cheerleading.

Black Girls Cheer magazine will debut its premiere issue with a Fall edition, followed by a Winter edition for 2018. Each issue will contain enthralling features on the top athletes, programs and coaches in the sport today. Features will chronicle the journey and triumphs that will serve as inspiration for all.

“BGC is now home to thousands of Facebook members and Instagram followers advocating for more diversity and inclusion in imagery surrounding young Black and minority women in this sport,” said Sharita Richardson, Co-founder of Black Girls Cheer. “We are excited to join forces with Inside Publications to bring to you, Black Girls Cheer Magazine, the official magazine of Black Girls Cheer! When Black Girls Cheer contacted us about the possibility of producing a custom publication for them, we were intrigued by their focus of providing voice and visibility,” said Chris Korotky, President of Inside Publications, LLC. “They spoke of athletes who have been moved by their social media outlets and conveyed stories of inspiration that have come from their work, and we look forward to working with them to extend this reach. Niche magazines continue to do extremely well in today’s market, with a passionate consumer base, and we believe this has the ability to fit well in that landscape. This publication will be produced through our Custom Pubs division, which has produced calendars, books, specialty publications, catalogs, brochures, ads and other support material.”

Under terms of the agreement, Black Girls Cheer will be developing content and marketing subscriptions, while Inside Publications will fulfill the production and distribution aspects.

Subscriptions to the magazine are available at BlackGirlsCheer.com. Special introductory ad rates are also available for charter advertisers and can be placed through either Black Girls Cheer or Inside Publications.
